Sorcha Eastwood

Sorcha was elected to Westminster in July 2024 in a historic result that made her the first non-unionist MP to represent the constituency. Her political career spans all three tiers of elected office in Northern Ireland: first elected to Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council in 2019, she went on to serve as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for Lagan Valley from 2022 before winning her Westminster seat. Since entering the House of Commons, she has sat on the Northern Ireland Affairs Select Committee and serves as Vice-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Stem Cell Transplantation and Advanced Cellular Therapies. Across all levels of her career, she has been a consistent advocate for cancer patients.
