Amy leads clinical engagement, institutional partnerships, and serves as the organisation’s clinical spokesperson. She provides strategic guidance on clinical service development and works closely with hospitals, universities, and healthcare professionals nationwide.
She also heads the Society’s Children, Adolescents & Young Adults (CAYA) portfolio, overseeing specialised service delivery and advocacy to improve outcomes and support for young people and families affected by cancer. She has previously provided interim leadership to the Society’s Night Nursing Team and is a longstanding champion of inclusion, compassion, and equity in cancer care.
With more than 20 years’ experience in oncology nursing and patient‑centred cancer services, Amy previously served as Lead Cancer Nurse at St James’s Hospital, Dublin, and managed the Oncology Day Ward for seven years. Her clinical background spans palliative care and cancer genetic testing.
Amy is a Board Member of the Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), holds a first‑class MSc in Clinical Leadership from UCD, and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery (FFNMRCSI), recognising her outstanding contribution to oncology nursing and clinical leadership.
